„MarSim“ measuring machine simulation from Mahr shifts tasks from the measuring machine to the PC and saves measuring time in the measuring room The 3D simulation „MarSim“ from Mahr leads to better utilization of form measuring machines and therefore higher efficiency. The software enables the new programming of measuring runs or training to be held away from the machine on the PC – therefore not blocking the machine. The use for the manufacutinrg operations: Valuable measuirng time is saved and can be profitably used for quality assurance. Measuring time on the measuring machines is too valuable to block for new programming, optimization of measuring process or even training. For all these tasks, Mahr has developed the simulation and visualization software “MarSim“. The philosophy of the software: While the form measuring station is continuously used for quality assurance or development of workpieces, the creation and testing of measuring programs as well as the visualization of complete test sequences takes place parallel on the PC with the help of the software “MarSim“. The software application of the application specialist is designed for measuring machine „MarForm MMQ 400“ and „MarForm MFU 100“. With the new software, a risk-free plausibility check can be conducted on the computer for the interplay of machine, clamping devices and workpiece. While still offline, the user can recognized if all measurement locations can be actually reached by the probe arm and workpiece and whether collisions are excluded. At the same time, the runtime of the measuring programme can be determined and the record functions for the measuring documentation can be established. Thanks to this innovative software, the advanced work of quality insurance is transferred from the measuring room into the office. The investment in the software amortizes quickly due to the optimal utilization of the measuring machine. |
